Demonstrate your talents as a cyclist in

an 'urban setting' doing errands of everyday life.

A showcase of the practicality of cycles and the preparedness of

the rider for urban settings. We especially encourage the participation of cyclists of all ages, fitness levels and, levels of disability.

THIS IS NOT A RACE.

PREPARATION IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN SPEED FOR THIS EVENT.

- Bring items so that you could carry any conceivable load. ( ie eggs, lumber, laundry detergent, potted plants, etc). The more difficult the loads- the higher the point value.

- Be prepared to show various aspects of practical urban cycling such as: how to keep the rider and cargo dry, daytime visibility, nighttime visibility, tools for repairs, etc.

- Be prepared to show your knowledge of safe and legal cycling practices in both a written and practical form.

FEES: $20, $10 for HPTA members

Saturday, October 23 9am-8pm

Spend the whole day followed by a supper

meeting and prizes at a restaurant afterwards.
